The Muse is the woman who feels safe being herself.
The Muse is the one who genuinely enjoys herself.
The Muse is the one inspired and immersed with life.
The Muse is the woman who enjoys life and walks through life with an open heart. But when in life did woman learn to be closed off? When was it unsafe to be fully self-expressed? When was it against society to show how beautiful you feel and how open you are to life?
Let’s start with answering the question what the opposite of being your own muse in life means:
it means to be
- irritated
- frightful
- closed off
- and to have a critical look at life.
to feel uncomfortable
- showing yourself freely
- moving freely
- laughing loud
- expressing your joy
- showing off how you feel best and at beauty – even if this is more of a quiet expression.
To feel unsafe around others because you are more irritated about how others perceive you and what they expect from you.
It means to need validation and approval from others and therefore feeling unsafe alone.
Where does this pattern of feeling unsafe to show how happy and beautiful and immersed with life we are come from?
It comes from a time where women were abused. Raped. Criticised.
It comes from a time where women were expected to play a certain role. Be compliant and follow the rules. From a time where women’s inherent worth was not recognised. And where boundaries were crossed. This displays a certain image of society where people should be in order, frightened and follow.
What does it mean to embody The Muse instead?
1. Serene self-expression
The Muse is not afraid of her full, alive self-expression. This self-expression does not come from a place of wanting attention, wanting to be seen, wanting to seduce or wanting to be in the center of attention. Her aliveness and serene self-expression is a mere reflection of how at peace, unbothered and tuned in with her life force she is.
2. Creation
The Muse is so emptied and thus filled with life force that creation comes through her. She is in direct interaction with Source Energy and therefore constantly filled up with creative ideas. As she feels safe in her own self-expression she creates and contributes. She is not afraid to lack or be judged by her own self-expression and sharing.
3. Inner Knowing
The Muse does not need to rely on validation, external opinions and she does not search for answers outside of herself. She is so deeply rooted in her own wisdom and connection to Source. She is the one who is so connected and in tune with her body and intuition that she displays radiance and rooting. She is not all over the place, yet her creation might take on different forms of expression. She is not moving through life from a fearful place or fear of missing out – but from a deep inner pull.
As long as you are capable of:
- sitting in silence and getting in tune with your body
- remembering your inherent self-worth and respect yourself, with your unique looks, desires, self-expression and energy
- feel safe expressing yourself in joy, being present and at peace with yourself and your creation
you are embodying The Muse.
